We contacted the Fire Department to tell them about Luke. They are our first responders at home and at Luke's school and it's always good for them to know when there is someone like Luke in the neighborhood. What do you know? Next day the fire crew shows up at our home, truck and all just to say hello, with a present in hand for Luke! How cool is that? Thanks very much to the Tampa Fire Crew. We really appreciate this.

up onHere are Luke's friends Olivia and Rylan reading to Luke the other day. He loves it when they come by to say hello, and so do we. Come again soon! That's Luke's big brother Yannick in the background. Big? You bet he's big. Almost as tall as dad and only just 14! Luke's been going pretty well since we got back from France. The vomiting started up again but we don't really know why. He's also been having increasing trouble with his oral secretions. We are currently following up on the suggestion of having Botox injections in his salivary glands. This reduces their output without affecting anything else, like some of the available drugs do. Apparently it's been done for other MLD kids and works well. We are hunting for a local ENT specialist who can do the procedure. We'll let you know how we get on. Thanks for checking in. |
